INVITATION
Dear Colleagues,
The upcoming Fifteen International Scientific Technical Conference trans & MOTAUTO'08 is devoted to the 45-th anniversary of the Faculty of Transport and the 15-th anniversary of the Department of Air transport of Technical University Sofia.
The Faculty of Transport was established in 1963 when the Faculty of Transport and Communications established in 1959 was divided. The new Faculty of Transport includes 5 departments: Department of Combustion Engines, Automobile Engineering and Transport; Department of Railway Engineering; Department of Mechanics; Department of Strength of Materials; Department of Air Transport.
The structure of the Faculty is 64 lecturers and employees and it graduates 800 students - bachelors and masters of Science in the following subjects:
- “Transport technics and technology”
- “Management and technology of the transport”
- “Air transport technics and technology”
The Faculty of transport is a center approved in the whole country for engineers graduation and wanted partner for scientific collaboration with many enterprises, unions and associations.
During the year 2008 the Faculty of transport will celebrate 45 years of its foundation and the Department of Air transport celebrates 15 years of its foundation.

NOTES:
1. “Publication fee” it is to be paid for each paper. Those who have paid it will receive an “Authors’ scroll”. It contains the title sheet of the proceedings and a copy of the paper. Those papers for which no publication fee is paid will not be included in the program of the conference and the conference proceedings.
The additional payment for publication in the "Machines, technologies, materials" revue is not obligatory.
In case the Organizing Committee decides not to include a paper in the program, the paid fee will be sent back to the author immediately.
2. The “Registration fee” includes participation in all sections of trans & MOTAUTO'08, in the WELCOME cocktail (SP1), in the coffee breaks, the business program, 2 overnight stays in a hotel 3* – bed in a double room, 2 lunches with fixed menu (SP4), also receiving of the conference materials (not including a publication). Those who wish to be accommodated in a single room should pay additionally 15 Euro a night.
3. “The foreign members of the organizer” – these are the members of the Scientific-technical Union of Mechanical Engineering, who are registered as members up to 15.07.2008. The terms for membership registration you may find on our internet site www.mech-ing.com/chlenstvo/individual_eng.htm. The payment for the membership is to be made together with the “Registration fee” or at the arrival.

PAPERS
The papers which will be presented in the sessions have to correspond to the topics of the conference. It will be presented and published only papers, submitted by reviewers and correspond to the forms of the graphical and text instructions which have become a public property in the sectional or poster sessions.
Please send us the papers in format *.doc up to 15.07.2008 by email together with the Application form for participation /Form A/ or with accompanying online registration. The name of the file of your paper has to include author’s name and the word “tm08” /Example: “ivanov.tm08.doc”/. If you wish your paper to be with color graphs and diagrams in your authors scroll, then you should send it by post service. Your Application form for participation “A” will be registered on internet site of the Conference in the “Submitted papers” section and your paper will get a registration number. It will be a great relief for the work of the Organizing Committee if you include this number in the future correspondence as a beginning of the file’s name of the paper /Example: 137.ivanov.tm08.doc/.
For participation in the poster session will be permitted only papers formed corresponding to the graphical and text instructions for poster papers or exceeding these rules. Posters formed in keeping with the requirements have to be send to the Organizing Committee till 30.08.08 so the paper can be a publicly presented at the conference. The organizing committee takes the obligation to print the paper in A1 format.
PUBLICATIONS
The papers included in the programme will be published:
VISAS
For the participants who have visa requirements and who wish to take personally part we have secured to get free visas. After we have received their application form for participation, they will receive from us a personal invitation, needed for receiving a visa, together with the confirmation for including their paper in the program of the conference. We beg you when you are sending the text of your paper to write the names of authors and accompanying persons, who would like to receive an invitation for a free visa.
